Do tea tins really work for the storage of loose leaf tea?
Is it really necessary to store tea leaves in solving a can or is this just another way for them to make $ $? Is it really keep it fresh?
Tea cans work really well, but they are not a necessity. Enemies of tea are: air, moisture, heat and sunlight. A tin provides all this. But then again so does a tea bag zip up bags enclosed in shiny material. They are 99.9 percent air proof and a lot cheaper since they are only 50 cents or something. you can find them on teasource.com for accessories -> tea storage section, but you could probably also find them at every tea website. Tea cans are much better looking even, but it really does not matter if they are in the closet.
