How can you put together a truly British High Tea?
Can anybody tell me what kind of food is served at an appropriately high tea? (Recipes please if possible) Also, what (besides cucumber) are making a decent cucmber sandwich? (type of bread, spices, if any, etc.) Thank you so much. I give a tea for older people in my church and I thought an authentic British High Tea would be quite nice. also, what kind of tea would you recommend be served? Is there an "order" as to how things will be served, etc.? I'm in the U.S. so my tea varieties that would not be as extensive as in Britain, but I think I can find a lot of the more popular types to be served.

What are some drinks that are a part of the Chinese New Year celebration?
I need to create a menu for my Foods class of typical Chinese New Year Food and all I cannot come up with is to drink tea section. Something else?
Many Chinese like to have the sweet dried Longannet + red date tea, which sweetness is symbolic of a good start for the new year. Just boil some dried red dates and dried Logan in water, add some sugar (preferably rock sugar). Adjust sweetness according to your taste.
