Do you have a recipe for citrus green tea ice cream?
I found some green tea ice cream recipes that are good, but really want one with a citrus-spin to it. Not have much luck searching the web.
Hi Lisa Have you tried this recipe and add your citrus flavor? Want to make Green Tea Ice Cream well here you going. Make your own Green Tea Ice Cream: Ingredients: * 3 / 4 cup milk * 2 egg yolks * 5 tablespoons sugar * 3 / 4 cup heavy cream * 1 tbsp maccha green tea powder * 3 tbsps hot water PREPARATION: Mix hot water and green tea powder together in a bowl and set aside. Slightly whisk egg yolks in a saucepan. Add sugar in pan and mix well. Gradually add milk to the pan and mix well. Put the saucepan on low heat and heat the mixture, stirring constantly. (See source for more info and recipes) When mixture has thickened, remove the pan from the heat. Soak the bottom of the pan in ice water and cool mixture. Add green tea in the egg and mix well, cooling in ice water. Add whipped heavy cream into the mixture and stir gently. Pour into an ice cream maker and freeze, following instructions from the ice cream maker. Or, pour mixture into a container and freeze, stirring ice cream a few times. I hope this helps! John J
